Henderson County Site Development Department

As you may be aware, Henderson County Permits & Inspections is nearing completion of implementing phase one of a new permit & inspection software program called SmartGov. This phase of the software will launch on Tuesday July 26, 2022.

We will be transitioning from the current software between this Thursday, July 21^st until next Monday, July 25^th. Phase 2 of the process will follow at a date to be determined later:

• 1st Phase:  (Date: July 26^th)
  • Implement the new software internally as well as a citizen portal for online inspection requests. No permits can be requested by citizens during this phase.
• 2^nd Phase: (Date To be Determined)
  • Citizen Online Portal goes live for electronic permit submission and payment.

During the next several days you will be receiving via email a link to the new online inspection request portal along with the portal access code that will be required. Please check your spam/junk folder.

Our goal is to establish a permitting system that integrates all County Land Development Departments data to create a streamlined system for our patrons.
