Search Septic & Well Permits

There are two permit search systems for locating Henderson County Environmental Health septic and well permits. Start your search by reading the Permit Search Tips document. This will give detailed instructions on how to use both permit search systems. 

 

Legacy Permit Search (1968-2004)

→ Environmental Health Legacy Permits Archive (1968-2004)

  • Conduct searches for historical septic and well permits issued between 1968 and 2004 using the Henderson County Environmental Health Legacy Permits Archive.
  • Well permits started in 1991.
  • Many of the septic permits from 1979 until 1983 were destroyed (if no attachment is found, there is no permit on file).
  • Search tips are located at the bottom of the Legacy Permit Search Page. 
Online Public Portal (2004-Present)

→ Online Public Portal - Advanced Search (2004-Present)

  • Conduct searches for permits issued 2004+ using the Henderson County Online Public Portal - Advanced Search.
  • On the Advanced Search page, open the drop-down menu next to Search and choose Permits Only.
  • Search using the permit number, address, parcel number, or owner's name.
