Environmental Health investigates sewage complaints received from the public. Please note that all information received by this office, except for reports containing medical information, are public records and can be reviewed by anyone making a request to view the record.​ 

For nuisance complaints unrelated to sewage or private water supply, please contact Henderson County Code Enforcement. 

To file a septic nuisance complaint, please download and complete the Nuisance Complaint Form. Please note, a signature is required from the complainant for a septic investigation to occur. You may submit the form in-person or by mail to the address below, fax to (828) 697-4523 or e-mail to HCDPH_EnvHealth@hendersoncountync.gov.
