Your cost for vaccines depends on your insurance coverage, how many and what types of vaccines you receive at your visit. Unless you qualify for state-supplied vaccines, there is a charge for each vaccine plus a charge to administer the vaccine.
For a self-pay client, your charge will be the fee for each vaccine plus a $27 administration fee for the first vaccine. The administration fee for each additional vaccine will be $18.
Uninsured adults who meet certain requirements may be eligible for certain vaccines through patient assistance programs and state-funded initiatives.
Vaccines for Children
We take part in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. This program provides vaccines to eligible young people up to 18 years old at no charge. Your child can qualify if they are:
- American Indian or Alaskan Native
- Medicaid-eligible
- Uninsured
- Underinsured - your child has health insurance, but the insurance policy:
- Doesn’t cover any vaccines
- Doesn’t cover certain recommended vaccines, or
- Does cover recommended vaccines but has a fixed dollar limit or cap for payment
*You don’t have to be a US citizen to be eligible for this program
To learn more or to check if your child is eligible for the VFC program, call 828-694-6015. Please bring your child's insurance card, if they have one, and their immunization card showing past immunizations.
