We are compiling information about resources to support persons struggling with emotional well-being during this difficult time. Note: this is not an exhaustive list of resources. We will post updates as they become available.

Crisis Services

National Crisis Line: 9-8-8 : If you or someone you know is struggling or in a crisis, help is available. You can call or text 9-8-8, or chat at www.988Lifeline.org to reach a trained counselor who can provide support in a mental health, substance use or suicide crisis.

Disaster Distress Helpline: 1-800-985-5990 and Disability Disaster Hotline: 1-800-626-4959

  • RHA’s Mobile Crisis Management line: 888-573-1006
  • Vaya’s Behavioral Health Crisis Line (1-800-849-6127) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • The Walk-in Clinic for Henderson County- through Clarvida (previously known as Family Preservation Services)- will be temporarily housed at The Free Clinics effective Thursday October 10, between 9:00am-3:00pm. Located at 841 Case St, Hendersonville, NC, 28792. 
  • New during response: A mental health counselor from RHA is available at Hands On! Children’s Museum 9:00 am-7:00 pm, 7 days/week, no appointment necessary. Located at 318 North Main Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
  • Blue Ridge Health: all locations are open and operating on a normal schedule, except the 7th Avenue clinic in Hendersonville. Those folks are being routed to Henderson Family Health Center on the Pardee Campus - Henderson County Locations
  • Behavioral Health Urgent Care, Asheville (aka RHA C3360) 356 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC 28801. Adjusted hours: Monday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, providing triage, assessment, and referral services. Please feel free to call the direct line at (828) 210-2651. Neil Dobbins is closed temporarily.

Hospitals:

  • Pardee UNC Health/ PATH’s detox and psychiatry. Located at 800 N Justice St, Hendersonville, NC 28792. PATHS Unit call 828-696-4250
  • AdventHealth dual diagnosis unit for women 18+. Located at 100 Hospital Dr, Hendersonville, NC 28792. Behavioral Health HUB for outpatient call 828-650-8130

Substance Use Treatment and Recovery

Peer Living Rooms:

  • Hope Coalition -101 S Grove St, Hendersonville, NC 28792
  • Love and Respect - 350 Chadwick Ave, Suite 300, Hendersonville, NC 28739
  • RHA's PLR - 365 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC 28801. Open M-F 9am-5pm

Treatment providers:

  • Blue Ridge Health (see above)
  • Premier Treatment: still open even though flooded, dosing Methadone 3 days/at a time
  • May Rx: suboxone and MAT doing telephone appointments, fills script and send to your pharmacy. 828-239-8852 or 888-581-6068 for Medicaid for MAT (but not methadone)

Closures

  • ADATC Detox: closed, moved all their clients to other places, not taking new people
  • Clarvida (formerly Family Preservation Services): closed due to flooding, their Walk-in clinic for Henderson County will temporarily be housed at The Free Clinics
  • Blue Ridge Health: 7th Ave closed indefinitely
