Incorporated Areas (Municipalities)

Municipal DistrictsWithin Henderson County, there are six incorporated areas also known as municipalities. 

  • City of Hendersonville
  • Town of Fletcher
  • Town of Laurel Park
  • Town of Mills River
  • Village of Flat Rock
  • Town of Saluda (small portion that lies within Henderson County)

Henderson County Tax Assessor is responsible for real property value assessments within each incorporated area. Tax bills for the Town of Saluda, City of Hendersonville, and Town of Laurel Park are included with the Henderson County tax bill and collected jointly. The Town of Fletcher, Town of Mills River, and Village of Flat Rock bill and collect their property taxes separate from Henderson County tax bills.

Tax DistrictsWithin Henderson County, there are 12 Fire Districts (listed below).  Henderson County collects real property taxes for each district and passes tax revenue to them.
