Duties and Responsibilities:  The primary purpose of the position is to plan with DD and SW PM's and administer a Quality Assurance Program across Henderson County Social Work Programs in order to meet or exceed federal and state outcome measures and overall improve service delivery to families and citizens of Henderson County

Additional duties include:

  • Collaborate with DD, PMs, and the Administrative Unit to enhance the Quality Assurance Program by focusing on assessment tools and data collection methods identifying service delivery strengths and growth areas, providing guidance to develop proactive improvement strategies, and monitoring the implementation to ensure ongoing progress and excellence in service delivery.
  • Develop case review tools for Child and Adult Welfare Services in: Intake, CPS Assessment, APS Evaluation/Mobilizing Services, In-Home, Foster Care, Foster Care License, Adoption, IV­ E, IV-B, TANF, and SSBG audit evaluations, SA In Home, Guardianship, and ensure the quality and quantity of work is equitable and informs professional development of staff.
  • Coordinate 13 supervisors in implementation of case review system and develop fidelity assurances
  • Report in writing to the DD and PM's current and ongoing strengths, areas of growth and barriers with  CWIS.
  • Assist in acclimation and training of new staff and supervisors by training all 64 SWs and 10 SWSs in the review process and how the process is connected for staff development and reaching the agencies desired outcomes in Child and Adult Welfare.
  • Assure compliance with all applicable policy, rules and government statutes (local, state, and federal) specific to program areas.
  • Comply with other duties that may be assigned to this position by the Director or SW PA.

Qualifications:  Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and 3 years of child welfare supervision experience; or a Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and 5 years of child welfare supervision experience; or a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in human services, counseling, or psychology and 4 years of child welfare supervision experience; or Bachelor's (degree from an accredited college or university in human services, counseling, or psychology and 6 years of child welfare supervision.

Additional Training/Experience: NC Child Welfare Pre-Service; Medical Aspects; Legal Aspects; Cultural Competency; Placement Training; Investigations/Assessment Training; Intake Training; In-Home Training; Documentation Training; LINKS; Foster Home Licensing; APS Modules 1 & 2; APS In-Home; Guardianship; APS Facilities; 1068 Training; Child Welfare Supervision; experience in program evaluation in North Carolina through CFSR; NCCW State monitoring tools; and adult program monitoring.
