Virtual SWCD Content

As students and teachers adjust to more online learning than ever before, the Henderson Soil & Water Conservation District is ready to provide support and resources to ease the transition.  We are offering virtual content to help enhance your in-class or out-of-class offerings.  Please email us to learn more about integrating these lessons into your programs! 

We currently offer the following lessons:

We All Live in a Watershed for grades 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th & EC

Soils Lessons for 6th Grade- Created by Dalton Buchanan, Soil Scientist for the NC Division of Soil & Water Conservation

Mini Activities/Experiment Demos  (live stream option) for Grades K, 1st, 2nd, EC & Homeschool groups

Educational Contest Material for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, & 9th-12th

These lessons can be used on your own or tailored to suit your needs and we also work to accommodate requests for related content. All lessons are correlated to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
