Spay & Neuter Incentive Program

In a partnership with Blue Ridge Humane Society, Henderson County will offer a Spay Neuter Incentive Program (hereinafter referred to as SNIP) for the purpose of spaying or neutering the companion animals belonging to residents who meet the following criteria:
- must be a resident of Henderson County, North Carolina
- must pay $10 appointment fee to schedule surgery
- must have a complete application form on file with the SNIP coordinator
Persons seeking the services of SNIP will be required to provide documentation to prove that they are a resident of Henderson County.
The SNIP program will cover a rabies vaccine, the cost of spay or neuter surgery, including anesthesia, medication and veterinary services. The cost of additional vaccines and other services are the responsibility of the owner.
The Director reserves the right to limit or refuse service to any otherwise eligible individuals.
