Community Involvement

Financial Donations

The Community Foundation of Henderson County has set up a special page for Hurricane Relief and Recovery, and donors may choose among funds specifically for Henderson County and the surrounding area, WNC recovery, and Lake Lure and Chimney Rock.

Donation Collection Site

A donation collection site has been established at 118 McAbee Court, Flat Rock, NC 28731. Non-perishable food items, bottled water, toiletries and baby powder formula are needed. We are not accepting perishable food or new/used clothing items. Visit for a full list of items, visit www.visithendersonvillenc.org/helene-relief.

Directions: From Upward Road exit off I-26, go toward the QT, turn left onto McMurray Rd and then left into the industrial complex. The warehouse is the last warehouse to the right. Truck entrance is behind the building facing the interstate.

For specific donation-related questions, please email Helene-Donations@hcem.org and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Henderson County staff are working around the clock to support our community, but the email address may not be monitored 24/7, and we have experienced additional setbacks with renewed limitations in cell service and internet access.
