45-1. Purpose; Statutory Authority; Title.
- The purpose of this Chapter is to encourage the voluntary preservation and protection of farmland from nonfarm development, recognizing the importance of agriculture to the economic and cultural life of the County.
- Pursuant to authority conferred by Article 61 of Chapter 106 of the North Carolina General Statutes, and for the purpose of promoting the health, safety, morals and general welfare of Henderson County, the Board of Commissioners of Henderson County, North Carolina, does enact the following sections, which shall be known as the "Voluntary Farmland Preservation Program Ordinance of Henderson County, North Carolina."
