Digital Content and Design Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities: This position maintains and updates website content and databases using WordPress, ensuring accuracy, engagement, and alignment with HCTDA objectives. Under the direction of the Senior Marketing Manager, collaborates with web, PR and agency contractors for website content and technical updates and improvements; creates and revises in-brand marketing brochures, partner enewsletters, and other HCTDA materials; provides basic design support for social media and campaigns; works with the website vendor to ensure the web-based interactive table at the Welcome Center remains up-to-date and engaging. Generates and manages custom QR codes for marketing campaigns; assists in writing multiple types of copy, including: engaging, SEO-optimized web and blog content to drive web traffic and promote destination offerings; enewsletter copy, and some brochure copy; assists as requested with capturing, organizing, and distributing media content. Works with the Social and Specialty Campaign Coordinator to maintain a cohesive media library; assists other staff as needed in creating PowerPoint presentations or graphic materials; manages the design and sending of the partner enewsletter; works within and assists in developing the HCTDA’s digital file organization system; performs additional tasks as required to support HCTDA operations and goals. This position will report to the Senior Marketing Manager.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design with 2-3 years of experience in digital content creation, graphic design, or website management, preferably in the Destination Management Organization (DMO) environment; or 4 or more years of experience in digital content creation, graphic design, or website management, preferably in the DMO environment; superior design, communication and SEO skills; must be highly proficient working in the WordPress web environment, including database management within the website. Divi builder experience strongly preferred; fully versed and able to work within the full Adobe Creative Suite of programs; comfortable with Constant Contact and working within email templates; high level of PowerPoint expertise needed; comfortable working in a PC-Windows based environment; strong writing skills needed; must have an exemplary “Heart for Hospitality,” i.e., a service mindset for the hospitality industry the HCTDA serves; ability to function effectively as a team member to meet the goals and objectives of the HCTDA; professional demeanor at all times is essential; stellar organizational, and inter-personal skills; time-sensitivity, and attention to detail required; high degree of problem-solving, task-completion, and accountability; strong organizational capabilities to track multiple projects and keep them on target.
