Voices and Votes
Henderson County Public Library has been selected as a display location for the Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibition, Voices and Votes: Democracy in America. The exhibition has been on display at five additional locations across North Carolina this year. Henderson County Public Library will host the display at the Main Library at 301 North Washington Street, Hendersonville, NC December 9th, 2024 through January 25th, 2025.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. It can be viewed during the library’s regular operating hours: 9am-7pm Monday through Thursday and 9am-5pm Friday and Saturday.

The Main Library will also display a selection of photos and newspaper pages related to local election activities throughout Henderson County history.
Look for special displays and activities at all Henderson County Public Libraries during this time.

Voices and Votes: Democracy in America is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and State Humanities Councils nationwide. It is based on an exhibition by the National Museum of American History. Support for Museum on Main Street has been provided by the United States Congress. North Carolina Humanities is the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
