OF HENDERSON JANUARY 28, 2004
The Henderson County
Board of Commissioners met for a special called meeting at 12:30 p.m. in the
Commissioners' Conference Room of the Henderson County Office Building.
Those present were: Chairman Grady Hawkins, Vice-Chairman Larry
Young, Commissioner Bill Moyer, Commissioner Charlie Messer, County Attorney
Angela S. Beeker, and Clerk to the Board Elizabeth W. Corn.
Also present was: Planning
Director Karen C. Smith.
Absent was: Commissioner Shannon Baldwin (who had been
recused) and County Manager David E. Nicholson.
CALL TO ORDER/WELCOME
Chairman Hawkins called
the meeting to order at approximately 12:30 pm. and welcomed all in attendance.
He stated that the purpose of the meeting was to reschedule a Quasi-Judicial
hearing on Vested Rights Application # VR-03-01. Monday evening’s meeting had to be cancelled due to weather. It takes a majority of the Board to schedule
another meeting.

Fox Glen Planned Residential Development Glade Land Fund, LLC
Chairman Hawkins stated
that the Board was looking at February 16th for that new special
called meeting. He had checked with Mr.
Campano (the petitioner) this morning and that date was acceptable for
him. That date allows staff ample time
for legal advertisement.
Chairman Hawkins made the motion to set a public hearing for
February 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board meeting room to continue the
Quasi-Judicial proceedings in the matter of vested rights application #VR-03-01
submitted by Glade Land Fund, LLC for the Fox Glen development which was
originally convened on January 14, 2004.
All voted in favor and the motion carried.
Chairman Hawkins
reminded the Board that the Clerk had some evidence available for review in her
office that Mr. Campano presented at the prior meeting. The Clerk will copy some of it and place in
the Commissioners’ mailboxes. The rest of the evidence is available for review
in her office. Any parties to the proceeding can also review the evidence in
the office.
Commissioner Young
stated that if anyone in the audience was present for the hearing, due to the
misprint in the Times News, he apologized to them for the mistake. Staff had called the Times News to try to
get a correction printed.
Chairman Hawkins made the motion to adjourn the meeting at
12:34 p.m. All voted in favor and the
motion carried.
