STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

COUNTY OF HENDERSON MAY 27, 2003

The Henderson County Board of Commissioners met for a special called meeting at 5:00 p.m. in the Advantage West Board Room on Aviation Drive in Buncombe County. This was a joint meeting with the Henderson County Partnership for Development.

Those present were: Chairman Grady Hawkins, Vice-Chairman Larry Young, Commissioner Bill Moyer, Commissioner Charlie Messer, and Commissioner Shannon Baldwin.

Also present were: Milton Byrd, Fletcher Councilman; Barbara Vogel, Hendersonville Councilwoman; Dr. David Sink, Blue Ridge Community College; Scott Hamilton, Bob Williford and Chip Gould, Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce; Ronnie James, NC Department of Commerce.

CALL TO ORDER/WELCOME

Chairman Hawkins called the meeting to order and welcomed all in attendance.

Advantage West presented their annual report for 2002 entitled ABuilding A New Economy@ which outlined their programs and services. An update was given on the activities of the Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development over the past year. A client activity report was presented by the NC Dept. of Commerce.

There was a time for questions and answers. Chip Gould gave some closing remarks.

ADJOURN

Chairman Hawkins made the motion to adjourn the meeting. All voted in favor and the motion carried.

No action was taken.
