MINUTES

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

COUNTY OF HENDERSON DECEMBER 20, 2002

The Henderson County Board of Commissioners met for a special called meeting at 11:30 a.m. at the Henderson County Office Building at 100 North King Street, Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Those present were: Chairman Grady Hawkins, Vice-Chair Larry Young, Commissioner Bill Moyer, Commissioner Charlie Messer, and Commissioner Shannon Baldwin.

Also present were: Chip Gould, Tom Cooper and Bill Lapsley.

Present from the Chamber of Commerce were: Scott Hamilton and Bob Williford.

Absent was: Clerk to the Board Elizabeth W. Corn. Chairman Hawkins prepared notes in Mrs. Corn=s absence.

CALL TO ORDER/WELCOME

Chairman Hawkins called the meeting to order stating that the purpose of the meeting was a joint meeting with the Chamber of Commerce for industrial site visits.

Industrial Site Visits

The Board traveled to Printpack for lunch, and received an overview of the Mountain Home Industrial Park.

The Board then visited and reviewed the following sites:

C HollaBrook Sites 1 and 2

C Grimes site (reviewed while in route to Hollabrook)

C Brickton Industrial Center

C Cane Creek Industrial Park

C Fletcher Commerce Park

C BroadPointe Industrial Park

C Appleland Business Park

C Upward Road Sites

A chart outlining Industrial Tax values was distributed to and reviewed by the Board. That chart is attached hereto and incorporated as a part of the minutes.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 2:15 p.m.
