COUNTY OF HENDERSON

JANUARY 25, 1999

 

The Henderson County Board of Commissioners met for a special called meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Commissioners' Conference Room of the Henderson County Office Building. This was a scheduled work session on the Proposed Subdivision Ordinance.

Those present were: Chairman Grady Hawkins, Vice-Chair Bill Moyer, Commissioner Renee Kumor, Commissioner Don Ward, Commissioner Marilyn Gordon, and County Manager David E. Nicholson.

Also present were: Planning Director Matt Matteson and Staff Attorney Jennifer O. Jackson.

Absent were: Assistant County Manager Angela S. Beeker and Clerk to the Board Elizabeth W. Corn.

CALL TO ORDER/WELCOME

Chairman Hawkins called the meeting to order and welcomed all in attendance. He stated that the purpose of this meeting was to continue the Board=s review of the Proposed Subdivision Ordinance. The Board was provided history of the development of these new regulations.

Matt Matteson presented some statistical information on the number of building lots approved during 1998 in Henderson County. The Planning Department has for the first time gathered information from the municipalities. There were 1,377 total building lots approved by all units of local government in Henderson County in 1998.

Matt Matteson reviewed and the Board discussed the following sections of Article IV:

The Board requested that staff provide them with an update draft of the Proposed Ordinance before their next workshop. The Board agreed to schedule another workshop at the next regularly scheduled meeting, February 1, 1999.

There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
