STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

COUNTY OF HENDERSON DECEMBER 13, 2005

The Henderson County Board of Commissioners met for a special called meeting at 5:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Conference Room of the Henderson County Office Building.

Those present were: Chairman Bill Moyer, Vice-Chairman Charlie Messer, Commissioner Larry Young, Commissioner Shannon Baldwin, Commissioner Chuck McGrady, Assistant County Manager Justin Hembree, County Attorney Russell Burrell, and Clerk to the Board Elizabeth W. Corn.

CALL TO ORDER/WELCOME

Chairman Moyer called the meeting to order and welcomed all in attendance. The purpose of this meeting was for the Board to go into closed session for personnel reasons.

Commissioner Young made the motion for the Board to go into closed session pursuant to NCGS 143-318.11(a)(6) to consider the qualifications, competence, performance, character, fitness, conditions of appointment, or conditions of initial employment of an individual public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee. All voted in favor and the motion carried.

Chairman Moyer informed those in attendance that the Board would not be returning to open session this evening. Staff was dismissed as the Board went into closed session.
