Elections Deputy Director Part-Time

Duties and Responsibilities:   Registers voters; maintains voter registration records; assists in conducting elections in accordance with State and County laws; performs data entry tasks. Performs intermediate clerical work assisting the public in services offered by the Board of Elections and in conducting elections in accordance with State and County laws and regulations; performs related work as required.  Work is performed under regular supervision.  Reports to the Elections Director.

Qualifications:  Possess strong organizational skills; some knowledge of modern office policies and procedures; ability to operate common office machines and computer; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to attend work regularly; willing to work long hours 8-12 weeks before each election cycle (emergencies are an exception); excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to lift up to 20lbs frequently to move objects around.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.

 

Must be able to attend 2 out of town trainings per year.

 

Pre-employment drug test and background checks required of finalist applicants.
